I take it to work every day, just 2 ingredients make it delicious . I sent it to Who sent it Simple Hi
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Optional fillings: cheese, herbs, sautéed vegetables, ham, etc.
Instructions:
- Separate the Eggs:
- Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks, placing the whites in a clean, dry bowl and the yolks in another.
- Whisk the Egg Yolks:
- Add the milk or cream to the yolks and whisk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Beat the Egg Whites:
- Using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. The whites should be glossy and hold their shape.
- Combine the Mixtures:
- Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture, being careful not to deflate the whites. Use a spatula to combine them until no streaks remain.
- Cook the Omelet:
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter. Once the butter is melted and sizzling, pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
- Spread it out evenly with a spatula, and if using any fillings, sprinkle them over one half of the omelet.
- Cover and Cook:
- Cover the skillet with a lid and cook the omelet for 5-7 minutes, or until the bottom is golden and the top is set.
- Fold and Serve:
- Carefully fold the omelet in half and slide it onto a plate. Serve immediately.
Tips:
- For an even fluffier texture, you can add a pinch of cream of tartar to the egg whites before beating them.
- Keep the heat low to avoid browning the omelet too quickly.
Enjoy your light and airy soufflé omelet!
