Shrimp Lo Mein
Ingredients:
- For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- For the lo mein:
- 8 oz lo mein noodles or spaghetti
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 4 green onions, chopped (whites and greens separated)
- Sesame seeds and chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, chicken or vegetable broth, and sugar. Set aside.
- Cook the noodles: Cook lo mein noodles or spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
